What is ISO 29993:2017 Certification?
ISO 29993:2017 specifies requirements for learning services outside formal education, including all types of lifelong learning such as vocational training and in-company training (both outsourced and in-house). It applies to learning service providers (LSPs) offering services directly to learners or to sponsors acquiring services on behalf of learners.
The standard focuses on clearly defined learning objectives, evaluation of learning outcomes, and active interaction with learners. Learning services may be delivered face-to-face, through technology, or as a blended approach.
If a learning service provider is part of an organization that also offers other products or services, this standard applies only to the learning services provided. While it is not intended for formal education institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities, it can still be used by them as a tool for self-evaluation and improvement.
